Dr Anna Sinclair
FRNZCGP MBCHB DCH DIP GER MED
I grew up in Stratford, Taranaki and as a child I enjoyed visiting the Family GP. I always knew that I wanted to be a GP and care for families. I graduated from Otago Medical School in 1992 and am a Fellow of the Royal NZ College of GPs. I have diplomas in Child Health and Geriatric Medicine, reflecting my interest in all ages of life. I enjoy the diversity of general practice and the relationships I have built with my patients. I am a good listener and enjoy a great laugh! The Linden surgery was my baby for many years and now has to share my attention with my 3 children. When not at Linden I am on the sunny Kapiti Coast being a mother, netball coach and taxi service.
Dr Rod Ferguson
MBCHB DIP OBS DIP MSM
I grew up in Alexandra, Central Otago. I attended medical school at Otago University and completed my general medical and general practice training in Wellington. I met and married my wife Sharon during this time and soon after we travelled overseas for our OE. We lived in London, and I completed the UK general practice scheme and became a partner in a general practice in London. However it only took me one trip back to New Zealand to convince me to return and soon after in 1992 I started working at the Linden Surgery. Early in that time I completed a post graduate diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine and as part of this I learned the use of acupuncture for pain control. I have enjoyed my years at Linden Surgery and I have lived in Tawa the whole time, raising three boys with Sharon. Outside work I enjoy vege. gardening, golf and more recently the challenge of bridge.
Dr John Langham
FRNZCGP MBCHB Auckland 2004
I grew up in Linden before training at Auckland Medical School. I am a generalist at heart, which has taken me through periods of specialist training in Emergency Medicine and General Practice prior to returning to Linden Surgery. I enjoy getting out on foot or by bike into the hills around Wellington with (and sometimes without) my 4 young children.
Dr Allie Fox
RNZCGP and Postgraduate Diploma in Child Heath
I completed my medical degree at Otago University and after working in Christchurch and Blenheim I am now looking forward to being part of the great team at Tawa Medical. I enjoy the variety General Practice offers and like working with patients to maintain their own well-being and improve health outcomes. I have an interest in Child Health and have completed a post graduate Diploma in Child Health. Outside of work I love to travel and enjoy tramping, mountain biking and snowboarding.
Dr Georgina Allison
I grew up on a farm near Rangiora, North Canterbury. My medical degree was through Otago University, beginning in Dunedin and then Wellington, where I have lived for the past seven years. I now feel very at home here in this vibrant city. I am looking forward to being a part of the Tawa and Linden Medical team, and getting to know the Tawa/Linden communities. I have previously worked in various roles in Wellington Hospital (mainly the Emergency Department) and then in General Practice in Lower Hutt and Wainuiomata. The reasons why General Practice has always appealed to me are the huge variety of conditions we see and the lasting relationships we form with patients. I enjoy helping people understand, manage and take control of their health conditions. I acknowledge it's not a one way street as I am frequently humbled by the stories patients share with me. Outside of work I enjoy running, tramping, biking and also snorkelling on the South Coast.
Dr Chi Rouse-Amadi
Qualifications: MB BCh, MRNZCGP
Originally from the UK, I studied at Cardiff University. After working in Wales for two years I arrived in New Zealand in 2009. I subsequently worked at Waikato, Thames, Wellington and Hutt hospitals and have been working in General Practice since 2017. The special opportunity to develop relationships with families over time, alongside the variety of work, are what inspired me to become a GP. I believe that the key to health lies in maintaining a balanced lifestyle and look forward to serving the Tawa / Linden communities. Outside of work I practice Bhakti yoga and enjoy playing tennis.;
